Default Code 43 Help

I recently changed my distributor and today got my hands on a timing light and decided to set the timing. The directions i got said to start the car and let the fan cycle on/off once before putting in the jump wire. After about 5 minutes with no fan I got impatient and started to give the car a little gas to heat it up faster. After about 30 seconds of 2.5k rpms the check engine light came on. I shut the car down and checked the code, read 43 which is a fuel supply problem.

The next time i turned the car over the light was off but the code is still showing if I jump it. I had already loosened the bolts on the distributor a little.

I'm new to hondas so I'm wondering if it is possible the distributor turned a little bit when under throttle and caused the engine to run lean and trip the code.

Also since the light is off does that mean the problem is gone and I just need to reset the computer some how or should I start looking at the fuel system.

Any help would be great

Have you tried unplugging the computer for several minutes to clear the code? What car are we talking about?

Sorry

Its a 93 civic LX

I haven't unplugged the computer yet. I am assuming that is how to reset the codes? Honestly had no clue how to reset them. I'll give that a try and hopefully it will show clear.

Thanks

Would disconnecting the battery have the same effect?
