My cousin has a 1997 Honda Civic HX with a b16 swap that he recently bought a couple months ago. The car has been running fine and all of a sudden yesterday it wouldn't start.. A few days ago he hooked up his sound system (sub and amp), think that this would have something to do with it not starting? The CEL isn't on either. The Fuel pump primes. It won't crank over though, and hes getting spark..... any ideas? Same thing happened on my SI but the CEL was on and it ended up being my ignition coil. Am I able to check the CEL codes even though the CEL isn't on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is spark bright white at all four plugs?

When the key is turned from off to ON(II), does the CEL turn on and then off after 2 seconds? Or does it remain on steady?
