so i just put a turbo kit on my d16 mini me it is a garrett journal bearing turbo with ports for coolant lines which i didnt run when i took the car to get tuned it did fine at first and made 182whp but then it started to do this thing where the boost would cut out at around 10 psi it kinda feels like a cross between hitting the rev limiter and a missfire but my tuner said that the turbo is bad because i didnt run the coolant lines and it burned up but it doesnt smoke or do it any other time rather than around 10 psi i think it might be the map sensor because it is stock. i think it also started doing this after they wired in the resistor box for the dsm injectors. also i dont get a cel when this happens. so could a bad turbo cause this to happen or is it something else. please help me out i really dont want to buy another turbo if i dont have to
