Timing ?
I just set my timing after replacing the timing belt on my 94 accord. I forgot to run a jumper wire at the diognostic connection under the dash while making the adjustment. What is the best thing to do now?
You can go back and make the adjustments again, this time with the ECU @ base timing (SCS connector jumpered) As long as your mechanical timing is on you can adjust the ECUs base timing at any time.
Yes sir, to set the car at base idle you jump the wire and physically set the timing at the distributor. Jumping the SCS locks the timing of the ECU and it will not make any adjustments. After you have the base timing set and remove the jumper, then the ECU will start to make timing adjustments based on incoming sensor info.
