Default Back Pressure Question?

Hey Im swapping a B18C from a 2000 Type R in my 89 CRX and I was wondering how crucial back pressure is with this generation of B18Cs and if so what exhaust works good with those motors at least for you guys?

Im planning on getting a Buddy Club SpecII for it but if back pressure is a serious role I prob will shy away from it.

Thanks

BC exhausts are stupid loud.

Scavenging always makes a difference, but that exhaust works fine, if you don't mind wiping blood away from your ears.

check out what the guys with the gsr swaps are using. integra type r folks wont know what's best since the civic crx is a completely different design.

if i were you though, ill run a custom 2.5 inch exhaust all the way back and try and fit a resonator under there, with a stock itr muffler

We don't need swaps because we have B18C5s already with that attitude, good luck getting any more help from us.

Just because it's a B18C*R doesn't mean it belongs in the Type R section (remember, the forum is ACURA Integra Type-R).

If I bought a B16B, it's a "Type-R", but would I post in this forum asking what pistons to use if I'm building it? No.

OP, your car isn't a Type R. We don't know exactly what it takes to put that motor into a CRX nor what special exhaust considerations need to be taken into account.

Why not try one of the other forums that might actually be able (or want to) provide help.

And you're a ricer moron if you run the BC Spec II exhaust on a street car. But, you'll learn soon enough.

Backpressure...
If you want max power use a 3" exhaust from header back.

ok, whatever that conversation was about. buddyclub on your CRX will be fine, run a good header on your B18C5, skunk2, mugen, toda, not a DC sports. and get a test pipe. spend the money get a good exhaust system, it's worth it. skunk2 exhaust sounds bad (just saying) HKS is sounds kick ***. backpressure usually isn't a huge concern, i mean your car will run without a header and a test pipe. and loudness issues, buy ear plugs. they're worth the 25 cents.... definietly get a header though. well worth the 1000 bucks for a good one.
