Yesterday car ran real good, Vtec engaged perfectly, today when I drove to lunch I noticed there was no Vtec go, stopped ate, then drove back to work, when I mashed it and it got to Vtec rpm motor would shudder real bad and bog down, I pulled over and everything is still plugged in, revved from under hood and same and I hear chirping when Vtec is suppose to turn on.... what's this mean?

 

vtec only engauges when the car is under load not in neutral or park. are u getting any CEL's? Is your oil level low? Vtec will not engage if you oil is low on the dip stick.

 

I'll check after work, another question, I'm running 10w40 right now, is there a better oil for Solenoid?

i got it working, yea theres enough oil, the oil pressure sensor on vtec solenoid is messed up, green one, plastic all broke off and 2 prongs, 1 is barely hanging on...
