First off, what model is the car?
Secondly they aren't calibers they are calipers.

You can upgrade to the ex or si brakes, bigger rotors and calipers, and do a rear disc conversion to si brakes, problem solved!

Stock brakes are fine. All you should need are better brake pads.

If you want to put Ex or SIbrakes on an LX, you need, the entire spindle assemblies, rotors, pads, calipers, mounting brackets. All from a Ex or SI. But I think they are only an inch bigger and still OEM for a Civic so your not gonna see much difference, do as mentioned above and try better pads first.

i dont think you should worry about upgrading size .. if you realllly want to stop better... invest in better brake pads, fluid, and TIRES.....no matter how big and strong your brakes r... if you dont have decent tires.. you wont stop at all.......

having said that..... if you want to upgrade brake size.. then you can upgrade to 96-00 civic EX front brake assembly (spindles) and 99-00 SI rear disk brakes(trailing arm assembly) or take both front and rear off 99-00 SI........or run integra brake assembly

if your car is stock(slow) ... the only thing thats really worth upgrading to is rear disk brakes....because the rear drums are horrible

im currently running integra GSR front and rear brakes on my 99 civic hatch

also note that if you upgrade to bigger brakes.. you will probably want to change (not necessary) your brake master cylinder... and possibly your brake booster......to keep the stock pedal feel... (IMO)

Kindly extract the rear trailing arm assembly from any Integra from 1990 - 2002 at your local pick and pull. And follow the advice of everyone who's posted before me
