I need to get new pads for the rear drums of my car... EBC is supposedly ****, so I guess I'll get something else. Does Hawk or Project MU (or anyone else) make pads for rear drums and front disks that are more balanced? Anyone have any thoughts for "brake tuning" here?

front- cross drilled stock size
back stock drums.... so pretty much stock brakes with the exception of the cross drilled. I've been thinking about getting VW 11" fronts with the Civic EX calipers. Kind of an inexpensive way to get bigger brakes, but I definately need to get pads now.

upgrading to larger rotors with the EX knuckles is the most cost effective version of "big brakes". if you can pick up the knuckles for less than $100, you're set. i reccommned Porterfield pads; i've been using them for close to a year now with my EX brakes (10.3") on my 90 CRX, they see 1-2 auto-xs a month and are holding up quite well. i've yet to warp a rotor yet either. i don't see which vehicle you drive, but i'm sure Porterfield makes pads for your car. they have applications for just about anything. check out http://www.porterfield-brakes.com.
