bad starter signal?
ok so my car wont start at random times, i thought it was my starter so i changed it but it still does the same thing which is that it will click loudly, i thought maybe it was a bad flywheel but i gave the starter signal wire direct power from the battery and it turns over fine, at first it will do it like 2-3 times a day but it will start eventually now it just always clicks unless i put power to the signal.. i dont think its the main relay neither because i always hear the clicks and my fuel pump always primes...am thinking that the wire isnt getting enough voltage or maybe a lose ground...were does the starter signal get power from, were can i start checking for problems for the signal wire?....thanks guys
The click sound suggests that the signal wire is activating the solenoid. Are you sure the starter solenoid is clicking?
Have you checked the rubber stopper for damage at the top of the clutch pedal and tried adjusting the starter switch that presses on the rubber stopper?

I had this problem with a coupe I bought. I replaced the main relay and a bad ground and it fixed it. If you don't have an extra main relay, get a soldering iron and heat all the joints up on the back of the board until they are liquid and dab a little more solder on them. The joints crack and that's usually why the main relays fail.
yea i guess ill have to check the clutch switch but yea i dont think its the main relay, starter solenoid get power because it always clicks and tries to start
