Anyone running 20 psi on pump gas
I have a fully built sleeved block, yada yada yada. Anybody run a t3/t4 @20psi on pump gas??? Of course with a stand alone.
And if so, who tuned it? Anyone near Michigan or Canada area?

no not really.
The compression is 8:9:1 by the way. it's just that these DSM's and sr20 guys seem to have no problems running those boost numbers, I was just wondering why us honda guys rarely do?

All my DSM friends hate it because you cant beat numbers they detonate at anything higher than 18lbs on pump gas. And as we all know a DSM at 18lbs isnt ****
i beleive dsms have comp of 7:1 or so(completely pretty much dead off boost downlow) thats how they can run slightly higher boost on pump gas...it isnt all about AMT of boost...

DSM's have low compression and small turbos. 20psi out of a t3/t4 is alot more air than 20psi out of an eclipse turbo. It's not really about pressure, more about volume.
I'd go with the alcohol injection with a 70/30 alc/water ratio. runs great here plus an air- water intercooler. When you make that much more power whats the point of worrying about weight gains of 30lbs. tops torque is nice
on my old built motor i was running 16psi and spiked 18psi a few times on 91 octane pump gas. I had around 8.8:1 compression and this was in colorado at 5400 feet (things are different up there). But at 16psi there was no detination.

i know a guy with a 2gen dsm with a super 20g 550cc & s-afc run 22psi every day with 93 octane stock engine but that bad boy pull some timing in high rpms
you get alcohol fuel at walmart or the pharmacy
it's isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
there are many grandnational guys that run this and instead of getting 13-14psi on pump gas they can run 20+psi

Im running 16.5-17psi on 93 in my Talon with very little detonation. Only on hot days at about 3200 rpms.. you can feel the ecu retarding timing and after it gets past that point, the ecu advances timing and its like hitting VTECHH yo!
