so i have a 95 LS coupe 5 speed..just lowered on coils, when im driving around town its perfectly normal, never shakes..but after driving for about 15 or so minutes on the highway in fifth gear just cruisin about 60-65 it will start to shake and shimmy and you can feel it in the gas pedal as well .

but ONLY when i accelerate, not when i brake or when im at a constant speed...anyone know whats up? its pissin me off...thanks.

 

Wheels need balancing....Car needs alignment. Or your lug nuts are loose.

Did you get a wheel alignment after you lowered it?

I would have the shop that did your tires recheck the balance, maybe a weight fell off. 94

 

FCM, I was going to say the same thing, but OP mentioned that its only under load. cruising is not affected.

 

I would say start by checking axles and axle nuts.

 

Check axles, it happen to me and came to find out it was a bent axle on my passenger side.

 

Inner cv joint is a common culprit.

 

yea i noticed my passenger cv boots are both ripped...time for a new axle im thinking

for sure..well on the way to and back from work, which is 23 miles from my house it didnt shake at all...its really random when it happens

 

My integra shook like that when accelerating, it turned out to be an axle. I payed the price for getting an autozone axle. Not saying for sure its the problem but it was for me.

Similarly,

My gf had this problem and it turned out to be her wheel bearings.

Isnt there a way to test the wheel bearings by jacking the front wheels up slightly and prying on them with a crow bar?

so i took a 140 mile round trip drive today and it shook off and on, but when it was shaking if i took a left turn around a curve it shook worse and when i went around a right curve it completely stopped!! ??
