Shaking during acceleration
So I have had this happen to me many times in the past, and it has always been due to a broken axle.
Well, upon further inspection, I have thoroughly gone through the axles (visibly of course) and have seen that there are no broken boots, joints, etc.
So why is my car shaking during acceleration?
Here are a few possible assumptions that I've come to:
1) Unbalanced front axle(s).
2) REALLY bad alignment.
3) Bent wheel (but wheels have no sign of being bent, of course only determined visibly).
Has anyone else every experienced something like this before? 1 and 2 and sometimes 3 vibrate REALLY bad in low RPM's between 0-25mph.
Thanks guys!

probably a not balanced axle, mine has done it ever since i replaced the driver cv, i have had an alignment and my tires balanced since then so i know its not that.
Aside from my inner cv joint on one of my axles causing this problem, when I remounted and balanced my tires the weights didn't stick to one wheel and caused a horrible vibration in the front as well. Of course it would probably effect you driving more or less all the time instead of just during acceleration.

When I put rebuilt axles from AutoZone or NAPA on my car, it vibrated REALLY bad. This was just after installing them. I ended up removing and replacing 3 sets before I found a decent set.
So just because the axles appear okay, the inner joints could still be bad, especially if they are rebuilts.

I was actually thinking this could be the culprit.
Looks like I will be trying some of the things stated in this thread this weekend and go from there.
I just need to fix this car and sell it...damnit.
Any other thoughts guys? Thanks!

Shaking during acceleration that goes away when the throttle is closed is almost always indicative of worn inner CV joints. I'm pretty sure a loose lug nut (even all 4 lug nuts loose) would not act like that.
I've driven down the street with lug nuts only finger tight (forgot to torque them) and it made some nasty knocking and clunking sounds, but not a vibration only during acceleration.

Thanks for that information!
I too have only had lug nuts finger tight and have heard the same clicking/knocking sound, but NOTHING like this.
The more input the better-so keep it coming guys!
