its worth fixing if you do it yourself.

why does it already look like theres a thick slab of bondo from a previous repair? that may be one of the reasons for why its rusting. poor previous repair

I personally would take it to a shop. If a reputable shop does it they will guarantee it. If you do it yourself you always have the risk of it coming back and having to go through the same mess again

^ alot of shops dont guarantee rust repair.

if they rest of the car is in good condition its worth fixing, but diy will save you alot of money.

Fix it if you want to, but if you take it to a shop you'll probably get charged out the ***.

If youve never done bodywork/rust repair dont even attempt it, rust sucks even when your experienced. Plus if you dont get the body work right your door gap will be all messed up.

Depend how long you gonna keep the car...If you don't plans on keeping for that long then just do it yourself. It just an old car, and it already have cancer. If you have welding machine and gas then you should be o.k..

the two shops i work in wont qurantee rust repair unless you spend a ton of money for all new panels and then we remove it by the spot welds and sand blast pretty much everything in the immediate area but thats a ton of money lol

i vote for doing it yourself. just pull the interior trim and wire wheel the whole sections. cut all the metal that's beyond the point of no return and replace it with sheet metal. besides where the filler is at by the hole, the rest looks like surface rust.
