Default PCV Question

Well today i noticed the PCV on my car wasent seating all the way down on the tube under the IM. So i tried to push it down with no luck so i pulled it back out only 25% of the PCV was going in and it wont go any further. Also i have an oil catch can running to this and was curious what does that tube connect to on the engine? Was wondering if i can just run my catch can straight to were that tube connects and just remove the old tube? When im talking about the "tube" im talking about the one that connects to the pcv then goes under the im were does it connect to?

It connects to the black box down by your oil filter. It's like an OEM catch can.

Ok, so instead of running my catch can threw the pcv down the tube to the Black box could i just eliminate the PCV and just run the catch can to the black box? does that oem hose that goes to it come off?
