On my 02 sensor harness I have a green, white, red, black wires. On my 02 sensor I have purple white grey black.



according to this the purple and white are heaters, black is signal and grey is ground.

Now what I cant figure out is which one goes to what? Ive tried looking for 02 harness diagram, wiring diagrams, and apparently my searching skills suck!

Anybody know what goes to where?

car is a 95 honda del sol 4 wire.

the ecu pinout says white is for the 02 primary, and from the few info ive been able to find green is ground and red is heater but im not too sure on that since the other 2 colors were grey and yellow and on mine are white and black.

1995 honda honda del sol type S. harness/02 have 4 wires.

 

Your O2 sensor wire harness should have these 4 wires:

Sensor - Wht wire (signal) & Grn/Wht wire (ground)
Heater - Orn/Blk wire (ground) & Yel/Blk wire (power)

 

It has green, white, black and RED. or a suntanned orange lol

lemme go wire them up real quick and reset the ecu and see if it still throws code 41. All the wires are properly inserted in the harness.

 

Just to clarify

harness - 02
White - black
Green - grey
Black - white
Orange - purple

 

Nope, still throwing code 41.

 

Guess I gotta buy a multimeter and check for voltages, if that doesnt work switch ecu's and see what happenes.

 

None of the wire harness wires have two colors, as I posted?

 

I was looking at the plug on the 02 side, not the wire harness side.

does it matter if the heater ground/power are mismatched? I dont if the purple is power or ground.

^ive answered all of your questions. I said yes i have a delphi2 02 sensor, and posted what car I have on the first post, and i posted it again just for you when you asked.

I just hooked the purple wire up to the yellow/black wire. Reset the ecu and the cel is gone! WOO!!

 

No. You never answered this important question:

Without you correctly stating the wire harness wire colors, it's impossible to give you answers, right?

 

What I should have clearly said was that I was looking at the wrong wires, and yes the wires on the harness DO have 2 colors. The wires on the 02 plug have one solid color.
