b16a2 vs b16a3
the previous owner of my em1 replaced the b16a2 with a b16a3. he put some kind of aftermarket im on it. will it still have the same power? it doesn't seem to have the power it should.
B16A2='99-'00|Civic Si (EM)-USDM-160hp@7600-111tq@7000
B16A3='93-'94|del Sol VTEC-USDM-160hp@7600-111tq@7000
Only difference to my knowledge is that they either converted your car to OBD1 or they simply changed the bottom block and kept the old head
B16A3='93-'94|del Sol VTEC-USDM-160hp@7600-111tq@7000

They also had the Obd2 B16A3 in the 96-97 Del Sol Vtec. But more that likely its just converted to OBD1.
from what he told me, he swapped the dist. nd injectors over to obd2. i don't know what intake manifold it is. I do know it has a p2T ecu. i had to bypass the cfk..it has a greddy header on it, would 3" exhaust help?
it should have bout the same power except there could be other things.. some motors come gifted and some motors come bad..it sounds like i think you need a dyno run to c where its power is and then dyno tune it again after a few more upgrades to c how much better u do..oh yea bigger piping will help out pretty good.. better air flow but remember, you need back pressure to so be sure to put a muffler on..

It's the ecu that actually dictates the obd, but doesn't really play much of a role in 2nd gen B16 engines themselves
You are right. I was almost positive there was when i was researching these a few years ago. But after researching again.... there isn't one. Except for one website that i believe is unreliable. Thanks for the correction.
