Default when running a newly built motor.

Is it more logical to run the motor on a stock ecu, then add the tuning equipment to it and THEN take it to get tuned? for instance, drive the ammount of time/mileage to break in the motor, add the tuning equipment and drive it to the tuner?

your motor is going to be different than stock. IE compression, stroke, cams. strap it down and break it in on the dyno.

Exactly. Boost will seat your rings rather well.

the guy who replied to tune before breaking it in prob meant to say that becuz if u r running rich u run the risk of washing the cylinder walls down with fuel and washing the protective oil film away as the piston rings seat which will lead to lower compression as the cylinders will loose the cross hatch. u should always tune before breaking in the motor and then preferably break the motor in on the dyno if at all possible.
