Mini-me swap timing issues
i have a d16y8 head on a sohc zc non v block and i have no timing belt covers for either...i got the engine like that from a shop and they said they didnt have them which was bs but whatever....does anyone no what marks i can use to align the crank pulley at tdc with? or the cam gear? plz no stupid anwsers i need help not bs...so if there is any marks in which i can use as a guide on the block maybe the water pump or oil pump to align the crank pulley with lmk plz and the cam gear thank you!!
the cam gear has timing marks on it already. theres the word up meaning it goes up...then theres 2 lines that align even with the head. --- "up" ---
the oil pump has an arrow on it. you can use this as a reference

thank you man much appreciated so the markings on the cam gear on either side of it get aligned with the head correct? and the single marking on the pulley get aligned with the arrow on theoil pump? cause there is a set of three markings and one by itself on the pulley
Single mark on the main pulley is mechanical TDC, the set of three marks is for setting ignition timing only (middle mark would be stock, other two marks are +/- 2 degrees but you'll need the timing cover to set that).
