Default Emergency B18 help needed!

A really good friend of mine has a boosted gsr. He was on his way to get it tuned with hondata, and something on the mainfold cracked and caused the wastegate to quit working. He decided to baby it to the dyno, and find somebody who could weld it back together. Then the car made a really quiet pop and just died while driving. He didn't drop a valve. We know this for sure. Do you have any idea what it could be? He is stranded 4 hours from home with no tools. Any info would be appreciated.

Specs:
B18C1
Ebay Ram horn manifold
ITR cams
Fully built head
DSM 450cc Injectors w/ obd0 resistor box
Variable base map chip
running 7lbs boost
Skunk2 intake manifold
T4 turbo?

If the wastegate stopped working and stopped opening and if he overboosted the turbo might have blown and injested part of the wheel into the engine

Sounds like an electrical problem. Spark, Air, Fuel

But...He said the wastegate stopped working...how would know? Was he boosting it untuned?

The manifold prolly cracked, therefore wastegate wasn't working because air was leaking out instead of building pressure behind the spring. Same question^^ does it turn over?
