Default relay? ecu

97 civic dx. Problem is that when the car is accelerated it astarts cutting out immediately. had to drive it home veeery slowly while it was cutting out and everything. Battery light comes on, but the belt is tight, new alternator 1 month ago, new battery 1 month ago. And the third asociated problem is when you hook up the obd 2 scanner it doesnt connect. I am thinking a relay or the ecu itself. I found a thread on another site with the same problem but the guy didnt update after he went to the dealer. so i know this has happened before. thanks and any help is appreciated.

would either of those cause the car to cut out when accelerating? its almost like a fuel cut. cleaned the IACV before i realized the dlc wasnt working either. coil, wires, cap, rotor, plugs all 3 months old so i dont think its an ignition issue on the cutting out part.

A blown fuse 15 might cause the problem. When the DLC issue is resolved, check for codes.

So last night I leave work. I pulled fuse 15 under dash and it was good. So then I pulled 43 and it was also good. Bummed that the problem wasn't just a simple fuse, just put them back in and next thing I know I turn on the car and there's no cel, no battery light, and it revs smooth as butter. Should I expect this problem to come back.

Sounds like the fuses were loose or making poor contact. Does the scanner now connect too?

Haven't checked yet but I assume it does. There's no cel anymore, and the car had o2 code before this happened. The o2 was swaped for a new one and same code stayed. I know the o2 is a part of that 15 fuse. So it all connected I guess
