Default LSD swap

I have an Hydro LS tranny with an aftermarket LSD could I swap that to my Hydro GSR tranny since my 2nd gear is messed up on the LS tranny? If so is there anything I have to change up?

You will need to swap the LS countershaft and ring gear with it as well. Depending on the year of the GSR you might need to remove the diff bearing outer races and shims. Either way you'll need to shim the diff.

Thx for the help. Ill give that a shot. Im not a tranny expert, but im trying to figure it all out. Would it be easier to just use the GSR 2nd gear itself and synrcos since there better than the LS or is it better to just swap the diff and countershaft then shim the diff.

The easiest thing to do would be to replace the LS countershaft 2nd gear. You can either order a new LS gear or a GSR gear (you will need GSR/B16A2/ITR 2nd synchro as well). LS mainshaft is the same as the GSR mainshaft.

Swapping the diff will require you to shim it, swapping the GSR 2nd into the LS will require you to shim the mainshaft.
