to clarify things up. I have a ls tranny with quaife and would like to use the quaife into the gsr tranny for better turbo gearing. What is needed to complete the changeover. DO i just swap out the lsd, final and bearing off my ls tranny and swap the gsr out right. any suggestion? thanks..

if you have a gsr trans and you want to use your ls quaife it will work with a b16 ring gear which is a 4.40 same as gsr and you need to use the ls diff bearrings (sealed type) because the gsr diff bearrings (open type) won't work (have different spacing) don't for get to knock the bearring races out of the the gsr case if you use it

True, but some GSR trans are actually set up from the factory with a sealed bearing so all you MIGHT need is just the ring gear.

I have seen both the sealed type and open roller type on a gsr trans depends on the year. I think early ones like 94-95 have the open roller type.
