JDM D15b swap into Eg hatch "VX" Your Help!!!
So I am fairly new to this but I have a VX hatch that came with a D15z1 motor in it that I took out to swap in a D15b. Before I go about tackling this task can I had some questions.
First can i use the wire harness off the D15z1 on the D15b? If not what do I need to do? And which Ecu will be best for this swap? Also I was planning on using the tranny from the D15z1 so I wont have to buy another one. Question 2 what should I do to the D15b before I put it in the car, I know I need to change spark plugs and oil, but should I change timing belt, water pump, etc? And lastly I am looking for motor mounts and was looking at Hasport mounts which Urethane should I get? And where can I find good Axles for a decent price?
Thank you guys so much for you help in advance....

you can use your stock harness and transmission but i would try to find an ex/si transmission for better acceleration..thats if you have the extra 150-200 bucks for a tranny.. but you can use a p28 or the stock po8 ecu.. and i would change the timing belt and water pump along with the tensioner..the motor is already out might as well change it.. as for axles i would recommend oem axles but autozone and local autoparts stores sell them with warranty.. good luck
for the mounts you dont need to get new mounts unless you want to spend the extra cash for stiffer mounts..if you want to do a DIY with your mounts you can fill them with polyurathane so theyre solid..not as good as hasports or innovation but they work pretty good..

preetyboi06,
I'm doing the exact opposite swap that you are. Maybe we can save each other some $! bcedwards2004@yahoo.com
