civic eg h23a blue top swap. help!!!
okay. i blew my mini me swap up. so i found a h23a for a good price. i've never done this kinda swap. ive done a d16z6 to d15b7. so idk how the wiring harness works. i will have the harness, ecu, motor, tranny and mounts. will the harness go from the motor to the ecu...? like i have to run it through the dash? or will it plug into the original harness in the dash? idk. i want to know before i get started. i cant find anything of the internet about it. so please help.

Your going to need to a lot of research, I have done the very swap you are trying to do and Im not gonna explain it all. I used a z6 harness and a p28 chipped ecu. Its not hard you just need everything (axles made for the swap if you say h trans, mounts, ect) Just look up all the DIY's. Also if you say h trans your gonna need the shifter cables.

you will need a chipped p28 ecu.it will plug right in, pick up a base map from you local tuner or get one online,or have it tuned..i recommend having it tuned.. use your harness off the d series.. cut and extend wires as needed, like iacv, air intake temp ,alternator etc..would also recommend using 2 harnesses so you dont have 2 splices in your harness for every sensor you extend. do some reasearch on h series into an eg. similar steps need to be takin for the h23v in order for installation.

You will not be able to use the H23A harness. Not only is it auto-only, but JDM ecu's are on the other side of the car.
Rip the alternator wires from the H23A harness, throw the rest to the side for now. Take your d15b7 harness, wrap it under the h23a like it did your d15, then extend the wires you need to. Add in the vtec plug (google adding vtec to 92-95 EG), swap in the longer alternator wires, and add in the IAB plug & wires. This is what I did, except I used the Purge Solenoid for the IAB and have eCtune to use that for the IAB control. I will have the knock sensor disabled, disabled vtec pressure switch since there is none, and start with an H22 map rescalled for my injectors.
I have thread on d-series.org that shows how you can use your d15 & h23a distributors to make a distributor that will work with the d15 harness. I will be adding the wire harness info & pics soon.
