my ls transmission makes a loud rattle noise at idle as well as it makes a wierder noise when i drive 2 different noises... but other then that it shifts fine any ideas?

before i got it the guy said he changed the clutch & throwout & pilot bearings but he said it always made this noise since he got it

yes it does... but the noise while driving wont go away till i come to a complete stop

 

Your problem is likely a bad transmission main bearing, typically the input shaft bearing.

 

so junk it ? is that something easy to fix or pricey?

 

There is a DIY in the FAQs sticky. Or you could replace the transmission.

curious was looking at rebuild kits can i use a rebuild kit from a ys1 or a gsr tranny to rebuild my ls tranny? would all parts interchange with eachother?
