92 Civic - idles rough and loses power in higher gears
Hey guys im new to this but i didnt see another post like this.well anyways . So i have a 92 Civic with a d16z6 vtec, header, cold air intake, exhaust the rest is stock.alright so it all started with an oil leak on my distributor seal. long story short i had to buy a new distributor. My car was running great and then omw home from work last night in 5th gear it just starts losing power and boging down through all the gears til i was on the side of the road with a very rough idle. The car will sit there with a rough idle until it almost dies and then it will rev itself back up and start the process all over again..Also you can rev the engine just fine clean all the way through just wont idle.or go anywhere lol
Sounds like two separate problems.
1) Check whether one of the axles popped out of the differential.
2) Click the IACV and FITV links in my signature.

All right well i have cleaned the IACV it was kinda dirty. couldnt do much today cause of the weather. but i cant find the FITV i dont think its on mine? ill try and take a pic tomorow
So the car seems to run fine until it warms up..im starting to think it might be a bad fuel filter or pump? because when it loses power its like its struggling to get fuel
well idk if this is whats causing my problems but it certainly cant be helping them lol but i found that my pcv wasnt even in my engine..just kinda hanging there..so now i jsut gotta figure out how to change it lol

got my pcv fixed which fixed my idle problem andi think the losing power while driving is jsut a dead spot in my throttle position sensor since you can push past the spot where it loses power
