92 Civic w/ LS trouble warming up
So heres the deal. I have a 92 hatch with LS swap. When I first start i up on a cold day, it starts off idling somewhat high (2400) then it will drop down and begin to rev, drop down, rev, drop down, and so on. It will do this for sometimes up to 5 minutes, then it seems to warm up and run fine. Someone said something to me about a sensor near the throttle body. Any ideas/suggestions on getting this fixed?? Thanks in advance!

FITV, IACV?? Im sorry, Im not sure what those mean. And could it be a vacuum leak even if it eventually warms up?

Re: 92 Civic w/ LS trouble warming up (vtec_yosh)
most likey it's your IACV ( idle air control valve ) i had the same problem. My idle was surging up and down, i replaced it and now my car pur's at 800 when warm.
** It is normal for car to idle at 1500 when cold.
