Ok I've seen how to make your own for the older civics....does anyone know if you can make one for a 98 civic and how you would actually make it?

A buzzer that goes off when you take the keys out of the iginition with your headlights on. Mine doesn't come with it and I've left my headlights on a couple times causing the batt. to drain and me needing a jump start. I say if you have a tendency to forget your lights are on, go for it.

hey thanks I looked on ebay and found them...said it fits any car that uses atc-ato blade fuses....so I think I'll buy it and try it

ok i finally hooked it up. works great, all it is, is a radio hack buzzer. plug the red wire into the accessory spot labeled 2 in the fuse box and the black to 3. there should be 5 spots in a row at the top of the fuse box under the dash.

the links above seem a little too complex for something so simple.

the only thing is, is that it buzzes when the lights are on and the car is off. it doesnt matter if you leave the key in or take it out.

really simple to install.

buy a buzzer from radio shack, and wire the red wire into the windshield wiper fuse and the black into the parking light fuse. if that doesn't work, switch the wires.

 

exactly what i did and it works great.. dont order anything and dont pay more than 5 bux for the buzzer..

I was just about to order one since it was only like $2 + $8 for handling (RIPOFF)!
I've got to get one. I left my lights on yesterday and running late for work. It's raining and $hit so I get pops out the house to give me a jump. As he's coming out I pop the hood and go to open it. He's like close that and get in the car. I'm going WTF!!!! He says put it in 2nd and put the clutch down. He starts pushing the car and is like let the clutch go. Vrrrrooooooommmm and I drive off to work beeping twice to say thank-you ...Forgot all about that method with the manuals

HyBrid, Its called a PIEZO buzzer. It about the size of a nickel and cost about $2.

 

I have a 97 EX, and mine is really ******* annoying.. But, it's a necessary evil. The one I wanna get rid of is the "Hey dipshit, your keys are in the ignition and you opened the door" chime..
