How To Install Energy Suspension Trailing Arm Bushings

TOOLS NEEDED:
Breaker-bar
Sockets
Big hammer
Torch
Oil
Sharp blade knife
pulley,if you can find one
dremmel
2 bags of backup blood
Plenty of bandages
Energy drinks
and the nerves

First jack the car up and place stands under it but not where you're working.

Now locate the bushing, mine was so bad,it looked like the old owner put some of that widow crap on it.

Mark the bushing ring so you know where it belongs, you don't need to remove the ring, only the inner parts of the old bushing.

Now you will see this bar,its the tow bar and you need to mark it so you can set the tow again

Now to take things apart, you will need to remove the trailing arm so you have room to work, its so much simpler.
Start by unbolting the bushing and tow bar as seen here

Remove the 12mm bolt that the Ebrake cable is connected to.

Now i didn't take pics of this, but you will need to unhook the Ebrake cable and remove the brake caliper and move aside, its not hard to do so don't get scared. You would also need to unbolt the 2 12mm bolts holding the break line.

Unbolt the top and bottom control arms

Now drop the arm and pull it aside, here is what my old bushing looked like.

Now the fun part. Burn baby burn. You need to remove "ALL" the leftover robber, use the torch and burn the hell out of it. Afterward, use the blade knife the clean the rest of the ring.

Also burn and clean the bushing bar as you'll be needing it later.

Now oil the inner ring and new bushing so it makes it simple to slide in. To push it in,i used my hammer and a flat piece of wood to push the bushing in,pain in the *** but i got her in. Then i pushed the rod through the bushing, the longer part of the rod faces inwards.

Now its putting things back together and flipping off the arm when done.

I believe my bushings are bad but the rear doesn't really feel that bad, maybe I'm just used to it the way it is, definitely my next fix. Thanks for the guide.

Thanks guys
Yeah,my bushing was throwing the tow way off that the back end was fighting with me,it felt like the front was staying strait but the back was sideways at times.
