I'm wondering if anyone knows the approx install time for a full master set of Energy Suspension bushings.

To install every single one of those by your self or with another person give yourself 2 days.

Its a lot of work. Unbolting and disassembling every bushing, pressing some out, and pressing new ones in ect..

I'm glad i'm done with mine. Took me couple days. Only because i was lazy and don't have much time.

your best bet is to take it to a mechanic w/ a press. remove the parts yourself , but pay to have them press it out and press in the new ones. took me 30 min to remove the bushings & press in the new ones on the fron lca alone. and they are a spare lca i picked up at the junk yard. it's a pain in the ***. but worth it at the end.

Took me all day, but on an EM1 I had to take the front control arms to a machine shop. The big rear trailing arm bushings caused my trailing arms to bind under hard cornering, took a $170 bushing tool and a couple more hours to replace them with OEM-style bushings.

It's taken a total of 14h to do this job. Some of it was due to the fact that the front LCA bolts had their weld nuts snapped off inside and we had to cut holes and weld them plus prime and weld the unibody back together. I'm just wondering what sort of price and time was typical to know what is fair.

its a pain plan on 2-3 days a lot of broken bolts and knuckles. In the end the job is worth the time

Maybe a better way to rephrase would be to ask what people were charged to have the kit installed?

That ****'s way too much fun to let somebody else do, but if you do let someone else do it, then I'd advise telling them to skip the big RTA bushing, it's the worst one to get in there and it does more harm than good.

So guys....did you enjoy your suspension kits? My car probably has never had bushings replaced at 13 years, and I am wanting to stiffen things up considerably before I do my h2b swap....

Have any of you had problems with the bushings getting dents in them and stuff? That is what is stopping me, because I hear since the urethane doesnt rebound like rubber...they need replaced fairly frequently.

3 of us did it in 11 hours, press and some air tools, you will hurt. brake cleaner, torch, scraper to cut out rta bushings, it was fun.. pay close attention to the diagram because some look alike and a few have little pieces with them.

I haven't had any problems. Replaced 2 of them about 4 years after doing the full kit because I damaged them doing some other work. One of the biggest tricks buy yourself an extra tub of the lube that the kit comes with it is like glue and keeps the bushings from squeaking and coat the inside and out side with as much as you can (slop it on) latex glove are nice when doing this

drill and tap some grease zerks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whenever u use poly bushings.. install some grease zerks in the heavy duty areas...mostly the lcas... front and rear....

They gave me several little tubs of the grease with my set, and I coated them pretty well all over when I installed them (use disposable gloves). It's been a couple of years and mine are still good and slimy.

Do you like your energy suspension bushings? I am looking to make my ride a lot more crisp. RIght now im still on stock springs/shocks...everything suspension related is stock. So yea, im wanting to stiffen her up before I do my h22. Would they be a worthwhile upgrade?

I just took the car for a road test after completing the install. Definitely worthwhile in my opinion.

Unfortunately / fortunately word has travelled that I can install them so I've now got 2 sets to do this week.

I've got a '92 4 door with a smoker engine so I'm going to LS and turbo it just for fun. Without a doubt it will be needing some bushings.

Just bought a set...$130 shipped...not too bad.. Its not the master bushing kit but it does come with the transmission bushings so that will be good as well...How hard was your install? Did you have to burn out the old bushings? How much lube do they give you? I ordered the set from energysuspension off of ebay....kind of nice to know they sell on there as well.

I have done several of these kits and they can be a real pain in the butt. You will need a tourch ( to burn out the really stuck ones). A press and a lot of force

Yes the kit makes the car considerably more crisp. Now I can feel how sloppy the chassis is If you're not a poor starving bum then paying a shop to install the kit is a really good idea.

I plan on using a torch to burn them out...a saw of some sort to cut the metal ring and then somehow press the new ones in...

Is getting the new ones in a very difficult task? Or is just removing hte old ones the bitch. Also...are there instructions in the kit? Or just a guide telling you what goes where.
