That's a "QUICK TILT SYSTEM W/ LOCK" and not a quick release and I'm sure I've seen them waaaaay cheaper than that. The popular one is the NRG one. I'm running the short hub, 2 gen quick release, steering wheel and lock. Excellent arsenal to add your car's security. I would not run one without the lock and do not get any of the no name Ebay knock-offs.

Check the Marketplace for deals on a combo.

I actually put my setup together for about $310 which includes the short hub, quick release, lock, and steering wheel. The NRG quick release combo I picked up was from weak sauce actually for $260 and a Momo steering wheel I found on craigslist. I love it and I wouldn't ever go back, much needed security.

Also get a bag/carrying case for the steering wheel so when you have to take it into public places with you won't get asked the same corny questions every time. IMO it looks stupid when you're walking around the mall or some place with a naked steering wheel in your hand.

Yup that's the one. Thanks for finding it, I would have posted the link but its a bit inconvenient since im using my phone...

I think that combo is the way to go if you can find a steering wheel for cheap because I don't think you will be able to put it together for less than at least mid $300 range.

Ones that fit. Momo, NRG, etc. Most any 6-hole wheel. Anything but Grant. They do not.

Thanks man.
Are there any quick-release kits that work with OEM steering wheels that you know of?

The only quick release system that I have ever used and swear by is Tekniq. It's Italian made, super durable and even after years of use there is no play at all. It's a bit more expensive than other brands and they're getting harder to find these days though.

How do these things work? i'm guessing there are a few different options.....

Hub w/ wheel on that (does not quick release)

Hub and quick release (makes the wheel stick out a bit further from the dash, and allows you to click the steering wheel right off)

Hub and quick release with lock (makes the wheel stick out a bit further from the dash than hub and quick release?, and allows you to click the steering wheel right off with the use of a key?)

I'm not really worried about anyone taking my car. I'm kind of curious if they push the steering wheel out more etc.

Not if you use the low profile hub.
