Creaking Groaning Noise
I have a 1995 civic eg sedan. When I accelerate you can hear a creaking groaning sound on the driver side suspension. I have replaced Lower Ball joints, and 2 New axles. I am thinking it can be upper ball joints, and some guy told me to check the bushings (On LCA) which I did and they look in good condition. The noise was not there before I did an axle change, and I have triple checked everything. Any Ideas?
I would think the most likely cause is the top mount. Unfortunately you have to take the strut out to inspect it. It's #10: http://www.hondapartscheap.com/south...t=0&quantity=0

upper ball joint definately....i was gonna say that before reading anyones posts.....my ek had that problem...they were tight they just had no grease as the boots were dry rotted and all the grease was gone
yea, thats my guess. I ordered Buddy Club P1 Camber kit so it comes with fresh ball joints, I replaced lower ball joints and new axles suspension is pretty fresh right now lol... It seems like when it gets hot the grease lubricates more and noise goes away that's my reason on why it stops when its hot?
Replace your upper ball joint and that should take care of it. Everything contracts when its colder so that would explain the noise being there only when its cold.
