My ek hatch has a sunroof -_-
I bought my 98 Civic DX hatch about 2 years ago. The old owner had an aftermarket sunroof installed. Now 2 years later I am going to start a turbo project with it and I am in search of ideas to get it replaced. Getting a new roor is pretty expensive. I tried looking into the cf sunroof plug kits out there but they only make them for the oem diameters. Anyone have any pics or other ideas of what they have done to take care of this. Im thinking maybe plexiglass. The car will mostly be out on weekends or on drag events.
I might just leave it. Not going to bother spending money on that. I can use that money on my motor. If I figure something out though ill post up pics....
well you have one advantage, an aftermarket sunroof(once removed) is not going to have a pinch weld fold around the opening. if you could find say an old carbon hood that was damaged if it had a large enough area of flat carbon that was ok, you could cut out a piece larger than your opening and use smc to metal panel glue and adhere it to the bottom your roof skin just as the sunroof is now. instant carbon block off plate.
