Icon4 1998 civic cxi ek hatch build !!HELP!!

So it seems like time to start up a build thread. Start getting ideas and start planning it all out right.
Had the hatch for little over twelve months and want to make it really mine. I'm a p plater (19) yeah I know a young fella who's got no idea.
Basically what I want to do with it is make a very quick little hatch that can outperform even the most tuned skylines ( maybe even a wrx or an evo or two but safe as possible to keep the gf and rents happy. I want to build it for the q/m rather than track
In the long run as I learn things I would really like to start taking records. Quickest b18. Quickest 98 civic. Quickest ek, hatchback, Honda. Etc.
Unfortunately I'm new to the jdm scene. Have done my research but really need some personal input from those who have been there before and are around now rather than 5 year old threads :/
So before I start I apologise in advance for the noob questions or preventing the use the search bar comments. But as I said its difficult to find up to date info and want to keep it all under the one thread for ease of access.

I have no limit on money. Just means ill have to wait and save my dollars that bit longer till I can afford the real thing not some Chinese eBay crap. I want to do it right the first time.

Now that is all out of the way. The fun stuff begins.
I have got a security alarm. Central locking and engine immobiliser. As well as lights to alert me if the car is still unlocked after the door is closed. So that can be scratched off.
Passenger and driver air bags. Check.
The original owner installed larger 17" alloys as well as a Gli tacho cluster. With Indiglo rear lit gauges I think they are??
And yes I do want to keep the beloved air conditioning. Qld heat is far too much to go without it.

What my next thing will be though is a new twin loop exhaust. My current system is droning and I'm getting sick of it. Or should I go one of this electronic exhaust systems to change the air flow??

I'm planning on doing an alternator replacement to help out the stereo ( designed so that it can be removed easily for the drags)
Body deadener to silence even the most annoying road noise.

Interior
Jdm integra type r seats frot and rear. However I'm kinda leaning towards a set of buckets or even some sort of bolstered style seats.
Lower seat rails to move the balance down.
And I want to do a weight strip inside to if anyone has been inside and know what to take out??

Exterior
Adjustable coilovers
Camber kit - is this really all that needed? Or is it mostly just an incase?
Rear frame bracing
Is there anything else in suspension or steering wise that I will need? My ultimate goal is a 5-600hp rocket. Hopefully more in the future. So anything I can do here to help with control and safety I want to do.

Steering??
What upgrades do I need to do here to help? Or is there notice I can do towards it ?

Transmission.
Limited slip diff. ( LSD)
Short shifter? Is it really that fantastic??
Any other ideas?? What clutch and flywheel system do I use??

Engine bay.
I currently have a d16y4 however I want to do a b18c type r engine swap. Looked at a k20 and not really sure if it will give me power gains like the b18 will. I've read that they started stock standard at roughly 200 hp. So I'm assuming that the original internals must be pretty tough to handle it. As well as the nice v tec
Upgrade the fuel system. New fuel pump, rails, injectors. Any ideas what else to do or what brands I should be using??
Upgrade the oil system too while I'm at it and use a baffled oil pan is it?? What's the reason for these?? Can't seem to find any newer info in the past couple years about these?? Braided lines. New master cylinder and brake booster.
Do a wire tuck to clean out the bay. Never done one before so that should be interesting.

But it is from here that the issue lies. I'm unsure of what internals can be done with it to improve power. Other than the general 70mm throttle body.
I've read about the skunk 2 intake manifold but not sure what's so fantastic about it? :/

The progression of the build will be sound deadening and silencing of the muffler.
Suspension and handling.
Engine and performance.
Any more ideas or help will be extremely appreciated. Even if they're just what brands to use or what parts do what.

Pictures will be posted up when I can. These storms have caused quite a mess.
And don't worry. The ricer side of it will definitely be last on my list. No neons pr body kits here!!

Need to search and read more. No real goals and no real budget make it very hard to help you. Start with a real budget and a real hp goal if you want to go to the drag strip. From there real suggestions can be made. If you want an actual fast Honda at the strip you are going to need to go turbo.

I understand that turbo is required. And will be installed over the years. As I said that would be my ultimate goal as for the time being I am aming for 2-300 hp.
The financial? As I said. No real limit. If something costs a bit more ill have to wait and save a bit longer.
I want to, in short terms, have the ultimate parts. May not be purchased or installed. This is just the planning stage and any help is required

No goals and no budget = no help.

For basics i would start off by understanding how everything works. If your going to go for a drag setup I don't really think switching out the OEM LCA for some aftermarket ones would help you at all. As for suspension i would def look way more into it. Is this just a drag car or a daily driver as well??

As I said budget is as high as it needs to be. This build is not on a time limit. If the coilovers cost 800 ill save 800 and buy them. If the engine swap is gonna cost me 3,000 for the half cut, couple hundred for the stand along fuel management. Another couple hundred for the engine mounts. Then I will save my penny's till I can afford it all.
No budget limit. Just will take a while.
And I plan to have it for a drag/street car. That funnyittle grey area between the two.
And all is safe. Did a big heap of research yesterday and will be uploading more info this afternoon once I have written it down.

okay so suspension wise this is the plan i have
- extended lower ball join
- upper and lower control arms
- rear frame brace/sway bar
- front sway bar
- adjustable camber control
- new brake pads - project mu type hc+
- brake fluid
- adjustable coilovers
- two way adjustable shocks ( independent compression and adjustable rebound control
- new upper shock mounts if required for the coilovers
and also thinking about a set of tow hooks front and rear

thoughts?
as for the performance goal. i have been thinking and decided that a 300hp b18c type r would be a pretty good goal to go for. and in all honesty i think it could be quite possible. a long and struggling road but achievable.

as for an update on my car i htink i may have just thrown one of the bearings in my transmission as well as some damage to my third as it constantly grinds when put in third. as for the bearings i have a sort of whiring hush kinda sound when ever i put the clutch to the floor. done some research and people are saying that it might be the throw out bearing? any ideas.
thinking that i may just keep the transmission as is until i do the swap. wanna put a nice little s80 integra limited slip into it.
