You don't have the entire complete T2W4? Gearing is much better in that trans than the M2A4, best purchase for my Prelude I ever made.

Yes I have the whole transmission but 5th gear and reverse don't work. And yes I know that tranny is so much better. Thanks for your help

Do you need the part #'s to rebuild? A site that sells "JDM" parts had the part #'s listed for all 3 sleeve sets and the 5th gear, other USDM transmissions use the same part #'s so it's very possible to rebuild. A reverse from any Prelude transmission SHOULD work, shift forks from the Prelude Si VTEC are the same as well.

I haven't tried any of these parts yet but according to a site that I think Pirate had some success with that vinuneuro pointed me to listed these part #'s for the T2W4 and checked them at work to see that they come from a variety of USDM transmissions. I will be doing a rebuild on mine soon but if you do yours first let me know, I was going to post my experience in a T2W4 thread that is in the FAQ section to kinda let people know what works and what doesn't.

As for the gears themselves I am unsure which would work, the main thing is the thickness of the gear as any 5th and reverse from a Prelude should have the same amount of teeth.

Oh it'll probably be a little while until I do mine, been wanting to paint the car first which I'm going to a place Friday to check out and if the price is right it'll be there for a few weeks. I also had parts at work priced out as I work at the dealer and can get them for the best price there so I'll still have to save up about $700 as I'm doing the 5th shift fork and all synchros. That's why I said if you attempt it before I get the chance to let me know how it goes.

That's not long away, you'll live. Better to get a new one anyways and it's pretty much the same price it would be for a standard H22 pulley for us at work.
