I have an 01 civic lx coupe standard transmission that i just got today, and when i accelerate there is a rattling noise mainly in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, no vibration or anything just the rattling like somethin is loose, i hope its not the transmission, please help...thanks in advance

 

It might have been an exhaust shield. Have you looked under the car yet?

 

i've read that it could be that alot of place cause it sounds like it comes from the right side of the car, so i will check can u tell me what im looking for cause i dont know what it is

 

i just looked up there and i dont think it even has a heat shield i could be wrong but i need to jack the car up so i can see for sure

 

Does the car make any hissing / grinding / chattering noises while in Neutral and your foot off the clutch, and does that noise go away when you push the clutch pedal down?

Does this rattle only occur while accelerating, or does it do it while you're parked and revving the engine, too?

 

only when accelerating and decelerating, after the car is running for a while it goes away sometimes, but it doesnt do it when its in neutral or when the clutch is pushed in, if im accelerating and then push in the clutch the sound goes away, i heard it might be the input shaft bearing

 

Sounds like it is most-likely the culprit.

I don't know. You'll need to contact your local repairman for that. (dealership, or independent shop)
