Default Idle problem. Only way to fix is by pressing throttle to WOT. Tuned on s300

OK, I am not a noob I have an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology, with a Honda emphasis, and 2 years experience as a Honda Tech.

With that being said I HAVE NOT, ...HAVE NOT tried to diagnose this problem yet, because of the shitty weather here in NEPA, I will be taking the car to the shop to get it ready for spring here soon. I simply am looking for a starting point or to see if any one else has had this problem.

The ISSUE:
When I start the car I HAVE to have my foot on the throttle, or it will simply just crank.

Once started I HAVE to keep my foot on the throttle to keep it running, Unless...

I push the throttle to WOT... for just a second....

it dosent matter if it is fully warm or not.. it still does it..

After that the car idles perfect...

It seems as though the TPS is sticking but idk I have never seen this before. As stated in the title it is tuned on Hondata S300, idk if it has anything to do with it.

Sounds like a dirty, misadjusted, or blocked off FITV.

The ITR does not have an FITV. Try clocking your tps to .5V at idle and 4.5 at WOT. I had the same problem (tps sticking).

If there's no FITV, then try testing and cleaning the IACV. Another possibility is that someone tried to adjust the throttle stop screw, which should not be done.

Thats what i had assumed.

I have tried to do this before on a different vehicle...

althought you will not find too many "Honda Techs" doning this as they would just replace the part. Most likley a whole TB.

...But i have never seemed to get it perfect.

consitering getting a whole new tb set up if i have to do that..

If the TPS reads approximately 0.5V at closed throttle, then the problem almost surely lies elsewhere. I also think a malfunctioning TPS is unlikely given that the warm engine idle speed is fine. The latter idea would also suggest that the throttle stop screw has not been messed with. I would focus on the IACV and the idle speed adjustment.

I missed that. What the TPS output voltage at closed throttle?

I can print out a how to on All Data for you. It's not hard. All you need is a DVOM.

No no.. i know the procedure.
KOEO
at closed throttle check for .5 volts at the red/blue wire..
at WOT check for .45 volts..
if they are off, loosen the bolts, clock tps until you get the right readings..
