92 accord, lost coolant pressure but not losing coolant??
Like the title says. New radiator last month including new cap. about to swap caps with old radiator, if that doesnt work, im at a loss for words.
Sorry, I'm a bit confused by the question and the issue you are having. How are you checking the pressure? Or are you just not getting heat.
If your cooling system is unpressurized you will lose coolant. The water will evaporate out of the antifreeze wherever the pressure is leaking from. What you have described defies the laws of fluid dynamics.
How do you know there isn't any pressure? If you aren't losing coolant, and you car isn't overheating why do you care?
The cooling system should pressurize to 15psi. Not very much pressure. You should be able to squeeze the upper radiator hose with your thumb and forefinger.

the coolant level is higher once the engine is at operating temp, and the hoses collapse with no effort at all, i can even take off the coolant cap while running at op. temp.
I swapped coolant caps, no change. im not dumb with cars, i know how to fix things, but I just am at a loss for what is happening, I am NOT losing any coolant, but i have no pressure, i am sure of it

If your cooling system is unpressurized, you will be losing coolant from somewhere. I have had a radiator cap fail. The coolant boiled out of the radiator within several minutes.
Monitor your coolant level. At some point it will drop if you have a pressure loss somewhere. If you're really that paranoid why don't you go get a pressure tester and check for yourself. Rather than taking a guess.

I checked the with a coolant pressure tester, im loosing pressure, the coolant almost boils over in the resivoir, but doesnt quite get there, when it cools down, the normal lever is still in the can, its not the cap, no external leaks, no leaks into my crankcase, no leaks into cylinders

Something isn't sealing.....Sounds like time for compression test, leakdown and adding UV dye to the cooling....you're sure there is no air in the system.
no air in the system, compression test is good. I said **** it i sold the car I was tired of throwing $ at this car. goodbye my 92 accord
Compression test won't do jack crap for finding coolant pressure loss with this as the Compression test will only measures Compression Rings.
Leakdown test is where it's at if you want to find the leak.
