Default Spongy clutch pedal after new clutch.

Hey guys I have a 98 DX with the z6 5spd mated to the stock y7, a while back I replaced my clutch with a an OEM Exedy Pro clutch kit. After bleeding the clutch and what not, my clutch pedal is very spongy. Like there is no pressure behind it. Now I have no shifting issues, no noises, nothing wrong at all. It drives perfect, nothing is leaking, my fluid is topped off in the reservoir. It's just the clutch pedal is not as firm as it was with the old y7 trans and stock clutch. What causes this? Is it just the clutch I used?

I think you are experiencing the benefit of a new OEM clutch. Rejoice.

This is why I hated doing clutches on customer car. It has a lot to do with the pressure plate the number of release springs and the force required to release the clutch

Ok, sounds good to me guys, if it has to do with a new OEM clutch then I have nothing to worry about like I thought. But I just wanted to make sure

I put in the same clutch this past December. I thought the same exact thing as you, but it operates as it should and I have had no problems since install! As stated above it should be the pressure plate causing the difference.
