Re: soft, mushy pedal feel after clutch install ?
fluid level is fine and the clutch is an oem spec replacement
I also noticed this same thing when i swapped my civic a few years back, but being young and naive at the time I cared less =P

Depending on the manufacturer clutches differ. My Exedy OEM-spec clutch is far softer than the actual OE clutch that came stock, even though it's built to similar spec. That's the reason I'm upgrading to Exedy Stage 1 if this clutch ever fails. It may be that your clutch is just soft out of the box.

I'm going with Gagnar on this one....OEM replacement clutches are usually the suck on pedal feel/stiffness. Then again, so are BMWs stock clutches.
Also, why do I feel as if clutches should be clutchs? Interesting....

Re: soft, mushy pedal feel after clutch install ?
ok I'll try bleeding it when I have time this week
I also noticed after driving some more, sometimes the clutch sticks to the floor and comes back up automatically on it's own within a few seconds or sometimes I have to pull it. I also noticed that sometimes the car won't go in car unless I really put the clutch to the ground.
thoughts ?

Definitely sounds like a clutch hydraulic issue to me. Bleed the system, and inspect the clutch master and slave cylinders (and lines) for leaks. However, I've heard that mechanical problems with the clutch can cause similar symptoms (but that's unlikely with a new clutch).
For the bleed just get a small bottle of DOT3 fluid. You'll also probably want a partner. There's a description of the bleeding procedure on the first page of the link in my sig., at the end of the clutch MC writeup, if you're interested.
