Transmission/Diff Noise While Turning?
I've just replaced the clutch in my ITR with an Exedy OEM replacement and have noticed a rubbing/clicking type of noise from the font end. It only happens while turning left, in gear with the clutch in. Any slight turn off-center to the left will make the noise and it is speed dependent. If I put it in neutral mid-turn while it is making noise, the noise slows down like something spinning down until it stops. To me it sounds like it's coming from the left side, but that could just be because of where I'm sitting. Replaced at the same time was the driver's side axle with a Raxle. I didn't really have any issues during the install except having a tough time getting the axles out of the hub.
The fact that it will only do it in gear with the clutch in makes me think it's internal to the transmission (e.g. the diff), but I could be wrong about that. It also will not do it 100% of the time, but I can't figure out the difference in the condition when it will not.
Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

axle nuts torqued to i think 135ftlbs if ones loose wheel bearing will make noise / jack up the car and see if tires loose to check wheel bearing and also see if axle is seated in trans good
The axle nuts are torqued and I've checked the bearings for play. A wheel bearing (as far as I can imagine) wouldn't explain that the noise is only present with the car in gear. I still need to make sure the axles are seated but I'm almost positive they are. Thanks for the help.

Check your brake dust shield. It's common that you hit them during the install and they sit against the rotor. Usually makes a high pitch rubbing though, but worth a shot. Just reach through the wheel spokes and push the bottom portion of the dust shield away from the rotor. It's fast, easy and free so just give it a shot.
Just noticed you are in my neck of the woods. I can take a look at it if this doesn;t solve your problem and give you a second opinion.

Thanks, I've checked the dust shields as well. I've done almost every check that comes up from a search for "turning noise" or anything related, but none of the threads I could find mention it only happening in gear with the clutch in.
I may take you up on that offer if I don't get it sorted out.

Is it a rubbing that almost sounds like a power steering pump groan? That's how mine sounds. Only in gear with the clutch in going left.

Bone stock. JDM swapped, though. I think it's got one replacement axle in there. I bought the car like that. At first, I thought it was a power steering issue...but I guess not. IDK. I'm not too worried about it, I guess. It's just an annoying *** noise.
