Okay i have an ek with a gsr swap. My problem is i get this scraping noise when im driving sounds like metal on metal. My axles dont pop at all when i turn. The wierd thing is if i am coasting and i stab the brakes the noise goes away. But as soon as i put it in gear and let out the clutch i get this pop noise and the noise comes back. Also the noise is not constant it goes off and on faster and slower according to the speed of my tires. I searched but couldnt find anyone with the same problem. Thanks for the help in advance!

But if it was the bearing would stabbing the brakes make it go away?

have you try to push the clutch pedal all the way in... ? is so u will notices that the noise its gone but..... it u reales the pedal tha noise comes up .. right ?

no thats the thing, it only make the metal on metal noise when i am moving(clutch engaged or disengaged). The noise stops while i am applying brake pressure, or all together if i stab the brakes(still rolling down the road out of gear..coasting). I can push the clutch in and out(not in gear) and there is still no noise. But as soon as i start to accelerate i get a "pop" then the scraping sound is back until i stab the brakes again. I am assuming its something with the shafts, or wheels bearing. But i am very inexperienced in those areas .. so any more insight would help a lot

that a good point .. wheel bearings .....!!! to see if ur Wberings are bad try to hug the whell with ur hands and push an pull if u feel the tire moving thats the problem u can buy the wbearings in any auto parts store and take it to any loca mecanical shop they may do it fot 30bucks each (left and right)

ill try that in the morning the noise sounds like its right by the drivers side front wheel almost sounds like the brakes with a warped rotor cause the noise varies according to how fast the wheels are spinning any ways i cleaned my brakes and i went about 100mph then gave it a little brake pressure and it does not wobble at all plus they only have about 2k on the brakes and the rotors so im eliminating that as an issue ill look into the bearing i hope that all it is thanks for the help i will let you know ....... would wheel bearing make it pop like that?

ok man i hope i did help with something .. or if u have the tools like a good real big hammer and a pice of good pipe u can hit it from the back like where the axles go into it will pop out but i think its better if u take it to a shop .. good luck
