Default O2 sensor help

I have a 2002 civic si...I got the car a few months ago with a check engine light...I check the car with and OBD2 scanner...it gave a code for secondary 02 sensor...I replaced the sensor with a Bosch sensor from autozone...I reset the code and turned the car on...the check engine light went away for about 10 minutes and came back on...it's for the sensor again...what should I do now? The car bogs sometimes and gas milage sucks...will o2 sensor cause these problems? The car is almost stock just has and HKS short ram intake...thanks

Yes. The ECM is looking for a specific signal, which the spliced-in universal sensor is not providing. The heater circuits in these cars are pretty sensitive.

Pick up a Denso 234-4122. Looks like it's $44 on Amazon.
