Default check engine light

If the code came up as a P0135 which oxygen sensor do I change and if its not the O2 sensor what else could it be?

I already replaced the sensor under the hood in the exhaust manifold and tried clearing the code but it came right back on. any suggestions would help

the primary oxygen sensor heater is the code and if you wanna change your o2 denso is the only brand i would recommend for honda/toyota.

so do u think if I go with a denso o2 sensor the code should clear? What about changing the o2 sensor in the cat would that help at all.

No, it won't clear.

Yeah it's true that Denso's are good, but a new O2 sensor for your car is a new O2 sensor for your car. You shouldn't still be throwing the light.

EDIT:
Changing the cat O2 sensor won't do anything - it's a primary O2 sensor code.

This all started when I took off my stock catalytic converter off and put a ebay hi-flow one on. As soon as I did that my check engine light came on. So I replaced the o2 sensor in the exhaust manifold with a bosch one and tried to clear the code, but the light came right back on. Any Ideas would help

cel's usually just give u an idea of whats wrong

sounds like its ur cat not the sensor itself

Well I ended up putting the stock cat back on because I thought it was causing the problem and I still have the cel on. Is it worth getting a new 02 sensor?

did u reset it afterwards

cels dont go away just because u fix the problem

they have to be reset

Yeah I reset the cel with a scanner, do i need to let the car warmup before I try clearing the code?

try reseting it by unhooking the ground on ur batt for like 10 seconds
