CEL blinking while driving (b16a2 on 99 ek )
so i had this problem a few weeks ago, i was driving to work when out of no where my car started to "choke" "studder" on take off , then the cel while come out and started to blink like crazy. When we tried to get the codes outs no codes would come out ,so we thought was a bad ecu , we changed ecu and problem was gone, passed BAR and they scanned it, no codes came out. Yesterday while driving back home CEL came out bliking again so i assumed it was a ecu, changed ecu and started to blink again while driving and then it would go away but car will still choke. I tried gettin the codes out and i get a code #71 random misfire cylinder 1
.... has anybody had this problem ? what could it be ? wires are new, sparkplugs are fine , there's spark and fuel getting there ... any imput is appreciated thanks

Did you install an OEM distributor? Some new/rebuilt aftermarket distributors are bad out of the box.
Also, when was the fuel filter last replaced? Are the fuel injectors clogged? You could also try unplugging the primary O2 sensor to see whether this eliminates the problem.

it was replaced with a friends working dizzy , since his car was going to paint i got his dizzy and his was working perfectly , fuel filter was replaced when swap was done a month and half ago, and regarding the injectors i used a lucas treatment the first week of the swap thinking "to be on the safe side". On the O2 sensor just unplug it ?
yes that was one of the first things i checked gaps are ok they still give the blue spark , they don't look burned or nothing
