Car won't start (cranks over, has fuel + spark)
try disconnecting the battery to reset the computer. if that doesnt work then i would check the o2 sensor it may be bad and will throw your computer off.
It could still be your timing belt. Pistons move in any case. To be sure you will have to take off valve cover an see if camshaft moves. Also check if valve clearence is normal if camshaft rotates. If all those are like normal, try a new set of spark plugs, and add a few drops of engine oil into each cylinder before installing plugs. Try to start again by pressing wot all the time while running starter. And drive starter motor for as long as you have the nerve to. (Running it too long results in overheating and damaged starter). Good luck!
Check yer dizzy cap and rotor, and plus wires. I had this problem earlier today, and that was the issue, replaced all three, now she runs like the top.
Remove the oil cap and look at the valve train. See if the camshaft is turning when you crank the engine.
When a timing belt breaks or strips the engine sounds like it's cranking fast and with no compression. It doesn't make the typical " Wa Wa Wa Wa " sound, it goes, " Weeeeeeeeeeee" instead.
