What ZC block in particular do you have? I wasn't aware that the older ZCs had a knock sensor. Are you building some sort of mini-me?

Yes you can, All 92-04 Civic share the same knock sensor, Its a 2 pin connector, 12v power to ECU and a ground.

2 pin? On the ECU side or the sensor side of the plug?

Knock sensors are only a 1 pin connector. Again, what ZC are we talking about here?

Yeah that's what I was thinking...I almost declared shenanigans on this 2 pin situation.

the heads not gonna have a spot to put the sensor ur going to have to make one most likely. drill tap and thread one or make a lil plate for it to screm into so it picks up vibration. thiers write ups how u can mock a fake one up from radio shack to pass emissions.

Are you going to run the obd2b p2p ecu for the y8? If you run obd1 you can bypass the knock sensor.

Also, the knock sensor usually resides in the block.

Yeah now that i think about it. Its grounded at the ECU. My bad, My cars a DX and i used a 2 pin connector with my Type R and just grounded it on the rad support. I didnt use a sheiled wire either and never had an issue. Someone may say the sensor grounds itself on the block. Never tried it that way though.
