Knock Sensor on D16Y7
Hey, I bought a car with a few issues and I'm working them out. The car is a 1996 Civic EX with a mini me in it? Don't ask me how or why, I bought the car that way. It has a D16Y7 block, and it is throwing a check engine light and the reason is there is no Knock sensor hooked up. The harness has the clip for it but there is no where to put it.
My Question is, has anyone ever installed a Knock Sensor on a Y7 block? If so how was it done?

Y7 Blocks have the treads for a knock sensor, Find a used knock sensor.
The knock sensor goes under the intake manifold on the back of the block.

So do I need to remove the intake manifold to install it or can I put the car up on a lift to get at it?

If you have access to a lift you can try that, But its literally directly under the intake manifold to the right if your standing in front of the car. Also, be careful the sensor is fragile and the plastic has a tendency to break.
Edit:, Removing the intake manifold isnt needed.
