Default headstud torque

what are you guys torqueing your golden eagle headstuds too for 600+hp motors? im using a cometic headgasket also do you retorque? do you use arp moly lube because mine came with torco assembly lube>???

i dont retourque. i do mine with engine oil in three steps to 94 ftlbs.

three steps to 80 lbs with oringed/step decked block

heat cycle and retorque to 80...we found they usually loosen up 3-4 lbs

5 steps to 84 ft of torque

engine oil as well.

you should really only do head studs in two steps...a lot less accurate the more steps you do. theres no reason at all to do more than two steps.

I followed the instructions provided, using the provided torco lube, and no issues... We will see soon once the engine sees some man boost!

well my head lifted off the block i have an 85mm aebs block no oring so i switched to golden eagle and getting head resurfaced

"headlift" could be from detonation as well...

well it will be retuned this year on 116 and 23 psi
