you need to use dowel, if you decked head and block a lot, you may need to machine down the dowel.

As for the leak, it can also occur if you dont do this:

It wasnít much 0.006 on the block and the head was less. I ordered dowels should I put gasket maker around the holes were oil and water pass thru I used copper spray the first time

I suggest no copper spray. I would not re-use the head gasket, get a new one and oem is possible. Not sure about JE proseal reviews.

I only put the hondabond stuff (I actually used toyota black fipg) on the bottom left in the pic outside dowel on mine where mine would puddle oil, I skipped the other and well the bottom right near the title belt leaks a little ha ha. I should have done them all next time I will.

If you just want to smear some gasket maker on the outside where head meets the block where the leak is after cleaning it, that has done the trick for me as well. The engine needs to be turning to have oil pressure. 80-85ft/lbs is what I do, I actually go to 85 and make sure you torque in proper sequence.

Anyway good luck!
